For the 2013 model year of Toyota iQ we have found that all trims use the same coolant:
Engine Code: 1KR-FE
4,3 litre (with manual transmission)
4,5 lit
Engine Code: 1NR-FE
4,7 litre (with manual transmission)
4,9 lit

Coolant (or antifreeze) is used in the engine to stop the water used to transfer heat to the radiator freezing due to low temperatures.
Coolant also works in the opposite direction, by preventing damage from the water being too hot if the engine is overheating.
