For the 1990 model year of BMW 8 Series we have found that all trims use the same coolant:

Coolant (or antifreeze) is used in the engine to stop the water used to transfer heat to the radiator freezing due to low temperatures.
Coolant also works in the opposite direction, by preventing damage from the water being too hot if the engine is overheating.
